Loikaw and Palaung Women

Extension of 3 nights from Heho to visit the state Kayah, a small mountainous region sandwiched between the Shan and Karen was home to several ethnic groups including the Padaung, whose women known as "Giraffe Women", they wear special tribal ornaments made of heavy brass rings that pushing on the collarbone and chest, stretch your neck in an unnatural manner. To visit the state Kayah you must request at least 30 days prior authorization from the local authorities.

Day 01 Inle Lake - Loikaw

Departure from Heho in Shan state, for Loikaw , the capital of Kayah, located about six hours by road. Along the way you pass through landscapes made up of tea plantations. Lunch at local restaurant during the excursion. Check in Loikaw hotel then visit the Taungwe Zedi Pagoda , built in a panoramic position from which you can admire a beautiful sunset over the valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Loikaw Sightseeing

Full day spent exploring the surroundings of Loikaw: it starts early in the morning for the villages of Sa Bwinn where you can observe the lifestyle and culture of the Padaung , known for particular ethnic ornaments of the women, who wear heavy brass rings stretching the neck in an unnatural manner. At the end, continue through the village of Panpae, where lunch will be served at local restaurant. In the late afternoon return to Loikaw. Dinner and overnight.

Day 03 Loikaw - Inle Lake

Departure by boat to Inle Lake (about 5 hours) sailing along the Canal Bilu from south to north.Along the way we visit the ruins of the ancient pagodas at the village of Nantote and SagarPranzo Lunches at the pagoda of Thakaung and continue to the village of Naung Po where they produce handmade pottery and the village of Kyinkhan known for spinning of lotus flowers , with which are derived tissues. End trip.
