Laos Myanmar Tour

The journey begins in Laos, Luang Prabang, a city that has managed to retain most Eastern spirituality, to continue to Vientiane, the capital looking for a pretty French town of the province. From there you fly via Bangkok to Myanmar to visit its most significant places in Yangon with the massive "golden pagoda" Shwedagon, the picturesque floating villages of Inle Lake, the ancient capital of Mandalay and the towns real minors, Bagan, the most important archaeological site in the country.

Day 01: Luang Prabang Arrival

Arrival at the airport in Luang Prabang. Formalities of entry and visa requirements. Transfer to the city, the ancient capital from the fourteenth to the sixteenth century of Lan Xang, the "Kingdom of a Million Elephants". Luang Prabang is situated in a convenient location, surrounded by mountains and nestled between the Mekong and Khan River. The hills, the peninsula that creeps between the two rivers, impressive temples, the multi-ethnic population together create a charming and harmonious. Transfer to hotel for check in. After lunch departure to the waterfalls of Kuong is a hike through some of the most picturesque locations surrounding Luang Prabang where the beauty of nature and the charm of the costumes of the ethnic groups of the mountain still offer unforgettable emotions. Along the way stop to visit some minority villages Khmu and Hmong. Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.

Day 02: Luang Prabang Sightseeing

Morning visit to the local market and the Royal Palace with its museum. Departure for the excursion to the Pak Ou caves are located approximately 25 kilometers by boat from Luang Prabang along the Mekong River at the mouth of the Nam Ou River: these are two caves located at the bottom of a cliff of limestone filled d 'Buddha images of all styles and sizes. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to Luang Pabang with a stop in the village of weavers of Ban Phanom.

Day 03: Luang Prabang - Vientiane

Wake up before dawn to witness the daily alms of the 250 monks every morning tour the city to receive offers from the faithful. Return to hotel for breakfast. Continuation of views of the city and its temples: Wat May, Wat Vixoun, Wat Xieng Thong and Phu Si hill strewn with wat newer. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to airport for flight Vientiane, the "city of sandalwood", which is developed by following the bend of the Mekong River, and is the capital of the nineteenth century.

Day 04: Vientiane - Yangon

Visit the monastery of Vat Sisaket, with internal walls dotted with niches that contain more than 2000 Buddha images; the temple of Wat Pra Keo, once the royal temple is now a museum; the great stupa Pha That Luang, the most important monument in Laos, a symbol of the Buddhist religion and Lao sovereignty. Afternoon, being transferred to the airport for the flight to Yangon.

Day 05: Yangon Sightseeing

Morning free to relax or individual activities. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon start the tours of the city: the Chaukhtatgyi pagoda, with the huge statue of the reclining Buddha, the center of the city and, at sunset, the impressive Shwedagon Pagoda (Golden Pagoda), symbol of the city, more than 100 high meters and topped by a "hti" decorated with hundreds of diamonds and precious stones.

Day 06: Yangon - Inle Lake

In the morning transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Continue by bus to the shores of Inle Lake (27 km - 1 hour), located approximately 900 m asl After lunch at a local restaurant boat trip to visit the pagoda Phaungdaw, the most sacred religious site of the southern Shan State, where there are five statues covered with gold leaf and the monastery "of cats jumping", built on wooden stilts. Along the way you will be able to observe the characteristics of vessels with the "fishermen rowing with his leg" and the "floating gardens".

Day 07: Inle Lake - Mandalay

In the morning, visit her boat Inle lake with a boat trip to Indein, with its beautiful pagodas of the sixteenth century, a veritable "forest" of stupa in ruins .. After lunch at a local restaurant Transfer to the airport Heho and flight to Mandalay, the Burmese capital during the nineteenth century. At sunset excursion to Mandalay Hill for the sunset.

Day 08: Mandalay Sightseeing

The highlights of this day include Mahamuni Image Pagoda, Imperial Palace. After lunch, we will continues with another visit to the Shwenandaw Monastery which is well known for its exquisite wood carvings, followed by Atumashi Monastery and Kuthodaw pagoda - the world’s largest book with its 729 slabs of Marble engrave with Buddha scriptures. The evening ends with a stunning view treated at Mandalay Hill.

Day 09: Mahamuni Image - Bagan

In the morning visit Mahamuni dellapagoda and monastery wooden Shwenandaw, the only remaining building of the original palace complex reale. After lunch, transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Free at leisure.

Day 10: Bagan Heritages

Full day excursion to Bagan, the capital of the Burmese kingdom from the tenth to the thirteenth century, Angkor certainly the most fascinating and important archaeological site in the whole East. Hundreds of more than 8000 of temples, pagodas and monasteries existing time are still scattered in the arid plains.

Day 11: Bagan - Yangon

In the morning continuation of visits to Bagan Nyaung Oo Market, the Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of the last stupas in Myanmar, Ananda Pagoda, one of the times the most beautiful, largest and best preserved ancient Bagan era. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to the airport erientro plane to Yangon.
