Day 01 Myawaddy - Golden Rock

Our guide and driver will meet you at Myawaddy - Mae Sot border check-point to help you with necessary documents as well as represent you the border crossing formalities and procedures at check-point authority’s counters. After a few minutes break, you’ll head to Hpaan, a small city with an eclectic culture and intriguing landscape. Get acquainted with the city with a small sightseeing tour, checking out Kyaikalatt, a small rock hill shaped like a wine glass, and Lombumni Garden at the base of Mount Zwekabin, which houses 1,000 Buddha images. You also have chance to visit the Kyauk Talon.

Continue to Golden Rock. You’ll stop at Kawgun caves, along the way, and marvel at the ancient wall carvings that date back to the 7th-century. Once arrival in Golden Rock, we, as well as others, normally have two options to go up the Golden Rock. One way is to walk along the twisting 10km, on the footpath through a bamboo forests. The second way is to travel to the rock by small open trucks, taking one hour. Admire the stunning Golden Rock which is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in entire Burma.

Day 02 Golden Rock - Bago - Yangon

Get up early then stroll around the hill sites for an unforgettable experience of Golden Rock then return to hotel for breakfast there. After riding to base camp, continue your drive back to Yangon. On the way, visit to Bago, located only 80 km, was an ancient capital of Mon Kingdom in 15th century and enjoy the Bago sightseeing including Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha (55 metres long), Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Myo Ma Local Market, 28 meter high huge Buddha Image of Kyaikpun Pagoda, Chinese Kwanyin Temple and upon your interest, you can visit the Kanbawzathardi Palace of King Bayinnaung. We also visit Allied War Memorial Cemetery.

Day 03 Yangon Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the Sule pagoda, the Mahabandoola Independent Monument, Scott market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems store and the bustling downtown area. Continue to the Chinatown area. After that, we come to visit the unique Botataung Pagoda. When we walk inside the pagoda, we can see many ancient relics and artefacts displayed.
In the afternoon we make our way to the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, which is home to a huge Colossal Reclining Buddha. The highlight of the day is a visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the most outstanding and revered Buddhist pagoda in Burma, whose golden stupa dominates the skyline of Yangon.

Day 04 Yangon - Naypyidaw

We drive to Nay Pyi Taw this day. Nay Pyi Daw is generally translated as "royal capital it was used as a suffix to the names of royal capitals, such as Mandalay. The name literally means "Royal City of the Sun" in Burmese. Take a short orientation tour of the town and discover the charming central lake. Overnight in Nay Pyi Taw.

Day 05 Naypyidaw - Drive to Bagan

Visit Uppatasanti Pagoda before we continue driving overland to Bagan. Enjoy the green scenery on the way. We arrive in Bagan at late afternoon. Free at leisure.

Day 06 Bagan Sightseeing

This city is no doubt one of the most impressive sites anywhere in Asia. Begin to visit the gold-plated Shwezigon Pagoda, Bagan’s greatest reliquary, built to house relics of the Buddha brought from abroad. From here, drive to the small village of Wetkyi-in to see the wonderful Kubyaukgyi Temple, renowned for its ancient murals then Ananda temple, one of the most reserved monuments in the entire Bagan. Your sightseeing also includes the Htilominlo Temple, which houses four Buddha figures on the ground floor and four more on the first floor. Continue your exploration of the city’s treasure trove of Buddhist art and architecture. Enjoy the sunset on the top of the Shwenandaw Pagoda.

Day 07 Bagan - Mount Popa - Mandalay

We then drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its shrines dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats”. For the energetic, time to climb up the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the volcanic plug. En route visit Salay and Yoke Sone Kyaung, Thar Ta Na Yaung Chi Monastery if the time permits.

This late afternoon, we reach Mandalay. Travel to Amarapura to enjoy a walk over U Bein bridge, the longest teak wood bridge in Myanmar and the world. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 08 Mandalay Sightseeing

Start your sightseeing today with a visit to the royal Mandalay vestiges and relics covering Mahamuni Image, Imperial Palace, Golden Palace Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda also known as the world biggest book.

This afternoon we will travel to Ava, Amarapura to discover the Maha Aungmye Bonzan, Gabaya Monastery, Leaning Nam Myint Tower and the nearby attractions.

Day 09 Mandalay - Drive to Pindaya

Drive to Pindaya to visit magnificent Pindaya caves set in a limestone ridge overlooking a picturesque lake where thousands of different types of Buddha images are a display in the various cave chambers, then Shwe U Min Pagoda. Continue visit some local houses where families produce Shan paper and parasols. Free at leisure.

Day 10 Pindaya - Inle Lake Sightseeing

Drive to Inle Lake in the morning. Skimming along the waterways in a long-tail boat, catch a first glimpse of floating gardens, stilt houses, and fishermen propelling their skiffs with one leg wrapped around an oar. Visit the infamous Phaung Daw U Pagoda, which enshrines five Buddha images believed to have been carried to this area by the widely-traveled 12thcentury King Alaungsithu then Nga Phe Chaung Monastery or Jumping Cat Monastery in other words. We then ride our boat to the Nampan and Innpawkhone villages. Here we get an ideal chance to see some traditional cigar making and silk weaving, and hopefully some local fishermen practicing their uniquely distinctive rowing technique. Return back to the boat station free at leisure.

Day 11 Inle Lake - Drive to Keng Tung

Drive to Keng Tung. We reach the destination in the late afternoon. Take a short orientation tour of the town if time allows, discovering the tea shops, and the central lake. Overnight in Keng Tung.

Day 12 Keng Tung Sightseeing

Take a city tour around Keng Tung and its colonial buildings and temples. Walking on the streets, you can see many people of different religions, from Buddhism, Christian and Animism with colorful clothing. Spend whole morning visiting the most prominent sites of Keng Tung including Mahamyatmuni Buddha image, the most impressive Wat Jong Kham Pagoda and its gilded Buddha. Complete the day in the sunset of Shan monasteries in the downtown and R.C.M church.

Day 13 Ho Chin Village

We will open our second day in Keng Tung by visiting the central market where you can see the colorful vendors and various types of foods such as vegetable, fruits and clothing. Then, join in an excursion to Ho Chin Village to meet the Akha and Lahu, visit their wooden houses and experience their daily life. Return to Keng Tung then visit a local lacquerware factory and enjoy the sunset.

Day 14 Keng Tung - Tachileik

This day we drive to Tachileik then depart Burma for Thailand.
